Start by downloading the revel8 template:
This template contains all potentially available columns in the correct format.
Important: Please do NOT rename, remove, or reorder any columns from the template. The system relies on the exact column names to automatically map data correctly.
📝 2: Complete the CSV Template
Fill in each column with the relevant employee information, below further information for reference.

💡 Fields mapped automatically by revel8
Timezone: Automatically derived from the Country field. No manual entry needed.
Management (Manager): If the manager's email in the Management (Email) column is also present in the same upload, revel8 automatically resolves the reporting relationship.
Salutation: If left empty, revel8's classification estimates the salutation based on the employee's first name.
⬆️ 3: Upload the CSV into the platform
Once all fields are completed:
Save the file as a
.csvor .xlsxNavigate to Settings → Employees in the left navigation
Select the Employees tab and click the Add button in the top right
In the dialog that opens, scroll to the bottom and drag and drop your file or click click here to select one to browse for your file
You will be prompted to map CSV columns to system attributes. If you used the original column names from the template, mapping will occur automatically. If not, manually select the correct attribute for each column using the dropdown menus
Click Submit file
Verify that all employees were imported correctly and are visible in the Employees list with the correct details
⚠️ If any issues occur during upload
Review your file for formatting errors. Common causes include an incorrect phone number format (must be +[country code][number]), invalid or duplicate email addresses, or unsupported language codes. Correct the data and try the upload again.
