π 1. Overview
The Gamification Dashboard gives every employee a personal overview of their security awareness progress. It shows how many simulations they've received, how many points they've earned, and how they rank compared to their colleagues .
Gamification is an optional engagement feature, it is not there to measure your organisation's overall security awareness score. Its purpose is to motivate participation and make the training experience more engaging, not to serve as a formal measure of your security posture. Whether gamification is enabled, and in what form, depends on your company's configuration.
π Note: Depending on your company's settings, the Gamification Dashboard may run in anonymized mode or clear name mode. In anonymized mode, the leaderboard displays participants without revealing individual names, so employees can see their relative ranking without exposing personal performance data to colleagues. Your own entry will still be highlighted so you can always find your position.
π 2. Your Stats
At the top of the dashboard you'll find two summary cards:
Points earned: Your total points accumulated across all completed simulations.
Simulations received: The total number of phishing, vishing, or other simulations that have been sent to you so far.
π― 3. Simulation Playlist
The Simulation Playlist is a log of every simulation you've been part of. Each row shows:
Channel: How the simulation was delivered (e.g. Incoming call, Incoming call with email and attachment).
Name: The scenario name (e.g. IT β Password Reset).
Response: How you reacted to the simulation. Possible statuses are:
π΄ Incident/Interacted β You interacted with the simulation in a way that would have been risky in a real attack.
π’ Reported β You correctly identified and reported the simulation.
π Ignored β You neither fell for nor reported the simulation.
Training: Indicates whether you completed the follow-up training module linked to this simulation (β = completed, β not applicable or not yet done).
Earned: Points you gained for this simulation (e.g. +10 for reporting, +5 for ignoring).
Missed: Points missed for not completing the training or interacting with it (e.g. 10 means ten points were missed).
π 4. Leaderboard
The Leaderboard (1) lets you see how your score compares to others. You can toggle (2) between two views:
Department β Your ranking within your own team or department.
Company β Your ranking across the entire organization.
Your own entry is always highlighted in green so you can find it quickly, even if you're further down the list.
In anonymized mode, names on the leaderboard are replaced with placeholders, only your own entry is shown with your name, so you always know where you stand without seeing or being seen by name.
π‘ Tip: The leaderboard is meant to motivate, not to penalize. Focus on improving your own score over time - every reported simulation moves you up!
β 5. How Points Work
Action | Points |
Reporting a simulation | +10 |
Ignoring a simulation | +5 |
Falling for a simulation (Interaction or Incidents) | 0 (missed points shown in red) |
Completing a training module | +5 Bonus points may apply |
π 6. Gamification vs. Awareness Level
Your gamification points and leaderboard position are not the same as your security awareness level. Gamification is simply a tool to boost engagement and make simulations more interactive, think of it as a way to stay motivated, not as a performance review.
